How Use MetaMask Wallet

If you are new and want do not know how to use MetaMask Wallet, then don’t worry! There is no rocket science to using it. MetaMask is a user-friendly application, and anyone with basic knowledge can run and operate it. First, you need to download and install the app on your mobile device or browser extension. After that, here are some simple steps you need to follow to use the MetaMask wallet:

Step 1: Once you have successfully downloaded and installed the MetaMask app on your device, you need to create a new wallet, or if you already have one, then you can import it using the private recovery phrase.

Step 2: The recovery phrase is the backbone and the key to protecting the wallet. So, make sure you secure your recovery phrase by storing it offline. Do not share or give away your recovery phrase to anyone.

Note: while you are setting up your app, you will get the options to configure your security settings. You decide what permission you want to allow for running the app and configure other security settings. To do so, you just hit the ‘Advanced configuration’ in the setup process and configure all the toggles as per your security requirements.

Step 3: Now your wallet is accessible and ready to use. You can find your Ethereum address in your MetaMask account settings. You can manage all your digital assets, buy, sell, or exchange them between different cryptocurrencies. Along with this, you can also do the staking on MetaMask and earn rewards.

Step 4: MetaMask also allows you to open a dApp in your browser. All you need to do is connect your wallet to MetaMask. You have to authorize the transaction, and all will be set after this.

Why Can’t You Use Multiple SRPs in One MetaMask Extension?

MetaMask only allows one SRP per installation. You will need different browsers to use multiple SRPs. You need to install multiple MetaMasks in multiple browsers, for example:

  • Install MetaMask in Browser A (e.g., Chrome).
  • Set it up with SRP #1.
  • Install MetaMask in Browser B (e.g., Firefox).
  • Set it up with SRP #2.
  • Repeat with other browsers if needed (Brave, Edge, etc.).

Along with this, you can follow another option in which you can create different profiles on a single browser and use each one to install a wallet. For example, Chrome and Edge give the option to create separate user profiles and allow running different extensions. In each single profile, you can install MetaMask and set up different SRPs. In this Way, you can easily use multiple SRPs using a single browser.
